Each fall, all the clergy in the synod are invited to gather for this event. When I first moved to Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod, we would meet at the hotel in Cambridge Springs but since the fire, different locations needed to be found. During Bishop Lazano’s tenure it was decided that the location would move around the synod allowing us to get to know the different congregations better. Bishop Papson has been continuing this, including the synod’s Authorized Lay Worship Leaders as well. For those who are not familiar with this event, it is a time of learning, worship, and fellowship among the people serving in ministry in this synod. It serves as a time of relaxation and continuing education. This year we will have as our Keynote speaker, Reverand Angela Decker who has written several books about the rise of Christian Nationalism in the United States. She is very respected in this field, and I am looking forward to hearing her speak. Our building will be very busy those two days, so expect to see a full parking lot. It is an honor to welcome the leaders of our synod congregations.
